I graduated with my BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Musical Theatre from Long Island University Post in May of 2025. While there, I tumbled into an intense love for physical theatre that has entirely shifted my approach to creating art after growing up solely surrounded by traditional, “all-American” musical theatre up in Maine. Under the guidance of some absolutely masterful and lovely professors—Tina Mitchell, Akiko Aizawa, Jason Jacobs, and Leon Ingulsrud, to name just a few—I was introduced to the Suzuki Method of Actor Training as well as the Laban & Viewpoints techniques. I could immediately see a clearer image of the artist I wanted to become.
